With respect to general business litigation, our firm will engage in virtually every type of dispute that can arise in the business context. We regularly defend against or assert breach of contract, fraud, common counts, personal guarantees, product liability, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair competition, and tortious interference of contract claims. We further litigate trademark and copyright infringement claims in federal court.

With respect to real property litigation, we regularly litigate commercial lease disputes, quiet title actions, fraud or nondisclosures in real property sales, cancellation of instruments, equitable subrogation arising from lender payoffs, boundary and easement disputes, lien priority disputes between banks or other investors, wrongful foreclosure defense, and defense against assertions of adverse possession.

With respect to employment litigation, we regularly defend against wage and hour claims, misclassification claims concerning independent contractor status, sexual harassment or wrongful termination claims, and defense of technical assertions of statutory violations such as the completeness of wage statements or employer best practices.

Although we do not focus on or even prefer to practice in the probate, family, or criminal courts, when confronted with the situation our longstanding clients often prefer us over probate, family, or criminal attorneys. Such cases may be considered on a case by case basis.
